Driverfitnessbc.com is a provincial resource for physicians. It has been developed by BCAA Road Safety Foundation (BCAA RSF) in cooperation with the Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles (OSMV) DriveABLE and the Medically At-Risk Driver Centre (MARD).

The Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles is a branch of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.  It is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and ensuring a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia. The OSMV regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help ensure the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C. The OSMV also plays a lead role in building public awareness to ensure that British Columbians have full understanding of road safety issues and government’s programs in this important public safety area.

DriveABLE is a University of Alberta spin-off company. It was founded to provide evidence-based practices for identifying the medically impaired driver. Since its beginning, DriveABLE has grown to meet the need for driver risk and safety management by the development of programs for the healthcare industry, the insurance industry, government agencies, and fleets.

The Medically-At-Risk Driver Centre is a University of Alberta-based centre committed to enhancing the safety and mobility for medically at-risk drivers and for all road users.

The BCAA Road Safety Foundation is a non-profit registered charity that works with families, communities and business partners to save lives and prevent injuries on BC roads and highways.
